Assurance of space free from distress is a bombdiddly balm. In a world tousled with turbulence, the mere act of needing to craft safe places where we can feel the warmth of the womb, cradled in comfort from exterior messiness, holds the highest regard. Comfort zoning is the miracle of opportunely applying the correct amounts of comfort to one’s life in order that the glide outside your comfort zone remains the exuberant “wheeee” of a small child whooshing down the slide over and again. Yet, in researching the implications I intended to convey about the value of feeling comforts in life I was astounded that most articles or quotes referenced ignoring your comfort to drop straight out of that zone. While compelled to break tradition with my comforts a lot, I believe we must console ourselves with the gladdening of good comfort in order to excel.

Beautiful things comfort; they bring a real clarity and ease. We have to continue to make our environments beautiful — it’s sort of like a prayer. If you surround yourself with beautiful things, you have a better life — one with more oxygen. ~Angelica Huston

People pass their judgments and opinions freely. All too quickly these can feed into discomfort. My self-confidence on high sometimes rotates right out that revolving door I waltzed in at the corporate headquarters before I even made it to the interview’s start. If a day brings a moment of decay, I begin to seek one of my comfort zoning tactics. Call them my psychological friends. These innocuous decoys when life’s methodical transference from light to dark occurs often enough. Sometimes they may show as a state of being, an inanimate object, a voluptuous hotel bed I could not yet afford on my own dime, or the dimple on the cheeks of the animal I most love to rub until affectionately purrfect sounds are produced. Why you occupy a comfort and permit its domain is the same reason you choose to awake and breathe daily. We desire and deserve a life so full of beauty that we can surmount all ails no matter their strength nor stride.

The ache for home lives in all of us. The safe place where we can go as we are and not be questioned. ~Maya Angelou, All God’s Children Need Traveling Shoes

When I let go of my very own personal space many years ago, I wasn’t focused on the fact I was giving up my sanctuary. What happened when I first needed comfort and I was missing my personal apartment for a hefty reset was the beckoning of the tall trees staring at me through the guest room windows of my best friends home. Walking into the woods without a planned path or length of time to commit became a mantra of comforting condolence. Comfort is not always a partnership game. There have been an equal number of times I needed to press my sadness or discontent against the weight of the world’s natural realm instead of a peaceful human body. The semblance of everything home entails developed new layers of meaning for my notions of comfort. I found the scopes of my choice in musical ambiance, decor, lightning, quiet, and space to cook varied in actuality. Then, I learned I was blessed with the ability to be able to coordinate the very home I wanted from time to time through gifts of travel between hotels or countries and shared family or friends dwellings. I adopted the fact that comforts are always in reach when we’re reassured of our access to understanding their extent.

Never underestimate how much assistance, how much satisfaction, how much comfort, how much soul and transcendence there might be in a well-made taco and a cold bottle of beer. ~Tom Robbins, Jitterbug Perfume

The quintessence of a superlative life is wallowing in ample comforts. Remedies run along a vast spectrum of inventiveness. Many loves of my life have been animals. Being more prone to the male gender for my relationship proclivities, I often wonder what it would be like if these male pets were men I could date or marry. My affections for them filled with endless support, sympathy, appreciation, and spooning, I consider what a wonderful marriage could be. It’s funny when something so comfortable still has its layers of fantasy built in. Or how about a serene ocean dive, where the fishes don’t speak to me but merely shine their sparkly wears to tingle the glamour monitor in me and sharks steer clear of scaring me into a deeper chasm if pain is what brought me to this soothing swim of comfort. Then there are the trips of my mind through an idea or heartily with soul traipsing a new country I’ve never been. As well, I cannot live without the multitude of libraries, or sound baths, and so many tasty treats to eat. Zoning for comfort encompasses a wideness and wildness as much as you wish.

The best things in life are often waiting for you at the exit ramp of your comfort zone. ~Karen Salmansohn

Maybe the best fashion for a great comfort zone is the launchpad that forms for you to burst without fear into the daring, the new, and the unknown soon after. Secrets of the universe aren’t consecrated exclusively for fair prodigy minds. Your saga can bedazzle with the mere genius of your creature comforts. Harvesting that which assuages our salvation gives rise to the evolution of more enlivened possibility. Resulting symptoms of a well-zoned amount of easement is that you leave a wake leaking life elixir. People will accept your measly poisons because you’ve cultivated copious happy juice. Folks aren’t as stupid as they can act. They know a good thing when they see it and they want in on that. The elevation you conjure through embossing your existence with plenty of alleviation from anguish is a potent potion. When we’ve brought ourselves relief and cheer, we divine the energy to breathe new life into us.

May any stints of discomfort find friendly solace in all the glorious comforts you can make and from which you gain your strongest abilities to create.
